I just dropped off my luggage at a cozy spot in Tbilisi called Always Welcome, and honestly, the first thing that hit me was how instantly warm the lobby felt. The staff—so friendly, like your favorite cousin—checked me in with a smile that made the whole process feel more like a welcome hug than a bureaucratic formality. The front desk is tucked right next to the old fountain on the square, so you can hear the gentle trickle of water even from the hallway, and it’s that old‑world charm that makes you forget you’re in a modern hotel. The check‑in desk itself is on a second‑floor balcony that overlooks the bustling Площадь Иерусалим; you can see the street vendors selling fresh apricots and the occasional Georgian woman practicing her ashug songs. I mean, the whole atmosphere is like stepping into a postcard, but with real, living energy.

When you step out onto the street, the first thing you notice is the smell of roasted chestnuts and the distant hum of the city’s tram lines. You’ll find a tiny, family‑run bakery—Baker’s Corner—just a block away, where they bake traditional khachapuri every morning at 6 a.m. It’s the kind of place that gives you that “I’m in Georgia” feeling you can’t buy a souvenir for. The hotel itself is a short walk from the Rustaveli Avenue, but you’ll still feel the city’s pulse. Parking is a bit of a hunt, though; the nearest public lot is a 10‑minute walk, and if you’re rolling in a car you’ll need to find a spot on the sidewalk outside the building because the alley behind it is usually packed with delivery trucks. If you get there early, you might even snag a free spot in the laundry room’s basement, but it’s not guaranteed, so keep an eye on the signs.

Noise-wise, the hotel is surprisingly quiet. The building’s thick walls keep the square’s chatter at bay, and the staff keeps the doors closed tight at night—though they do leave a tiny crack so you can hear the distant lullaby of the city. The rooms themselves are a sweet mix of contemporary and Georgian, with hand‑woven rugs that feel like a warm hug under your feet. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious, with a deep soaking tub that’s perfect after a long day of exploring. I did have a tiny gripe: the Wi‑Fi password is printed on a sticky note that gets stuck to the desk, and it’s a little hard to read when the light is dim, but you get the idea. Overall, it’s a place that feels like home, and you’ll leave with a playlist of local jazz that you’ll want to play whenever you’re back in the city.

  Very, very cosy and stylish apartment in the ultimate center of Tbilisi. This flat is designed in a vintage style. The restored doors from a century ago are especially delightful. However, everything in the apartment itself is new, clean and comfortable. The hostess is very friendly and you can contact her with any questions. Everything is within walking distance from the apartment. We highly recommend it!

  The location is very near to most of the tourist spots. The room was very clean & most importantly, bed sheet as well as the bathroom are clean. The host were so kind to let us stay a little longer due to the flight schedule. Thank you so much.

  The location of the apartment is great, many attractions and cafes are within walking distance. The hostess Tamara is friendly and attentive. For a couple on vacation, not burdened with cooking dinners, an electric kettle and a small refrigerator are enough. Nearby there are many cafes, a small grocery store and a bakery with wonderful national pastries. The apartment was clean and cozy. At midday, the air conditioner saved from the heat, and high-speed Internet in the room from boredom.
  
  What could be improved: Minor problems with the lighting in the bathroom and wardrobe on the last day before departure, but they did not spoil our holiday and pleasant impressions of the hospitable house
