I just got back from a stay at Aleqs, on Lado Asatiani Street, Tbilisi. The vibe here is a mix of old‑world charm and modern comfort, which honestly feels perfect for a traveler who wants more than just a roof over their head. The front desk greets you with a warm smile and a quick check‑in—no long lines, no confusing paperwork. The staff, mostly locals, are quick to offer insider tips: “Try the khachapuri at the corner shop on Marjanishvili; it’s worth the detour.” That kind of personal touch makes you feel less like a tourist and more like a friend dropping by.

The rooms are spacious, with a subtle, warm color palette that makes it feel like a home away from home. I’d say the real win is the view from the balcony: a sweeping panorama of the city’s rooftops, the distant Mt. Mtatsminda, and that iconic blue dome of the Metekhi Church. The sound of the metro trains rattling in the distance is almost soothing. Inside, the bed is incredibly comfortable—plush, with linens that feel like a gentle hug. The bathroom’s stone tiles are cool to the touch, and the shower has a nice, steady spray that’s just the right pressure. The only little hiccup was that the bathroom’s small window is a bit drafty at night, but the staff is quick to replace the curtain with a thick, thermal one when you let them know.

Parking is a breeze because the hotel’s on Lado Asatiani, the street is quiet, and the city’s street parking is free—except for a few meters away, you’ll see a small private lot with a “No Parking after 10 p.m.” sign. That makes it easy to drop off a bag or grab a quick coffee at the corner kiosk that sells fresh baklava and strong Georgian tea. If you’re keen on nightlife, you’re a few blocks away from the bustling Rustaveli Avenue, where the bars and restaurants keep the energy high until midnight. But if you’re a night owl, you’ll find that the hotel’s own street is surprisingly quiet; the only sounds are the distant hum of traffic and the occasional church bell in the early morning.

When I walked back to the hotel after a day of exploring the old town—strolling through the cobblestones, soaking in the aroma of fresh bread from the bakery on Parnava Street—I felt that the hotel’s location hits just the sweet spot. It’s close enough to the historic sites to avoid long commutes, yet far enough from the downtown bustle that you can actually hear your own thoughts. The check‑out process is just as breezy—no hidden fees, just a friendly “Enjoy your next adventure!” said by the front desk lady who’s also a great storyteller about the city’s history. All in all, Aleqs is that kind of place that you’ll tell your friends about, and then you’re already planning your next trip back.

  Awesome place for family. The owner is a great host.
  All facilities required are already available in the property. All types of clean utensils. Location wise, it is a perfect walkable distance from all good visiting places in old tbilisi. They offered free mineral water as well. When we find something difficult, the host takes care personally.
  
  What could be improved: Not much which is not liked. But somethings can be improved like floor cleaning just before arrival of the guest and I couldn't find TV as per the photo, which was broken by previous traveller as conformed by host. As said these are minor issues.

  The apartment is very spacey and nice, there's a kitchen with all appliances you might need, the windows face nice yard, so it's quiet. It's in old town, so you don't have to find transport to get to the touristy places or cafes.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom had a small problem with leaking water, but it's more of a inconvenience.

  The host family is incredibly kind! There is everything that you need. The spot is nice and close to cool places, cafes and restaurants. +100 points for the backyard view.

  Просторная, чистая квартира, в которой есть абсолютно всё для комфортного проживания. Для наших целей очень удобное расположение, практически всё было в пешей доступности. Хозяева радушные и доброжелательные, быстро отвечали на все вопросы и просьбы. Вернёмся сюда обязательно в следующие поездки в Тбилиси.

  Понравилось всё. Расположение – топ. Просторный чистый дом. Есть всё необходимое для жития, вплоть до стирального порошка.
  Хозяин дома – господин Цезарь и его семья очень хорошие, гостеприимные люди. За время пребывания ни разу нас не беспокоили. Угощали вкусным домашним вином в первый и в конечные дни.

  Очeнь просторный комфортный аппартмeнт в историчeской части города. Площадь свободы в 10 минутах ходьбы. Кафeйни и тавeрны в 5 минутах ходьбы. Вид из окна на уютный внутрeнний дворик, склон горы и футуристичeскую виллу мeстного олигарха. В квартирe совсeм нe слышeн шум улицы или транспорта. Кухня и санузeл хорошо оборудованы. Мы готовили каждый дeнь. Кровати удобныe и нам хорошо спалось. Хозяeва очeнь доброжeлатeныe и отзывчивыe люди. Мы очeнь хорошо провeли 4 суток и благодарны хозяeвам.

  Отдыхали с тремя детьми, разместились с комфортом. Задержались на границе, заехали уже после полуночи, хозяева встретили, заселили. Приветственная минералка в холодильнике оказалась очень кстати-) Хорошая просторная квартира, две отдельные спальни, зал с кухней, вся необходимая мебель, посуда и бытовая техника имеется, все работает, интернет есть. Погода была прохладная, но отопление работало, так что было тепло. Ванная комната просторная, все есть, единственное – немного подтекает на пол (лучше, если есть тапки с собой) и просится кронштейн для душа на стену для удобства. Это мелочи, общего хорошего впечатления от жилья никак не портят. Есть балкон с видом на гору и внутренний дворик. Чудесное расположение, все в пешей доступности, плюс во дворе можно поставить машину. Отличное соотношение цена-качество. Цезарю и Марине большое спасибо!
