2 bedroom apartment in Chugureti Overview
I stayed in Tbilisi at this 2‑bedroom apartment in Chugureti, and honestly, it felt more like a cozy hide‑away than a hotel. The check‑in was quick – a friendly host at a little reception by Antelava Street gave us the keys and a handwritten map (you know what, I laughed – who still does that?). There were no long lines or stiff smiles, just a relaxed vibe that made me feel right at home. The apartment itself is on the top floor of a low‑rise building, so there’s a bit of a climb but the stairs are nicely lit, and you can hear the distant hum of the city – a faint thrum of traffic, the occasional clink of a coffee pot from a neighbor’s kitchen. It’s quiet enough for a good night’s sleep, but you can still hear the late‑night chatter from the street below, which gives it that authentic, lived‑in feel.
Inside, the space is surprisingly generous. The living area is a bright, airy loft with a sofa that’s just soft enough to sink into after a long day. The kitchen, though small, is fully equipped – there’s a stove, a fridge, a coffee maker that actually makes a decent espresso (and trust me, that’s a big win in Tbilisi). The two bedrooms are separate, each with its own window that looks out over the narrow alley of Antelava, where you can see the local market stalls bustling in the morning. I took note of the small balcony that’s more of a ledge, but it’s perfect for a quick cup of tea while watching the sunrise over the old town. The bathroom is clean, with a shower that’s a little on the small side, but it works. I did have to get used to the tap water’s mineral taste – a quick rinse of the dishes with bottled water fixes it, though.
Parking is a bit of a puzzle – there’s no dedicated spot, but the neighborhood has a few public lots a block away, and the building’s basement can be used for a short‑term storage of your bags if you’re arriving early. I parked on the side of Antelava and walked the 10 minutes to the apartment, which gave me a chance to see the hustle and bustle of the Chugureti market, where vendors sell fresh apricots and homemade cheese. The noise level is spot on for a city: not too loud, not too quiet. I could hear the distant bells of the St. Nino Cathedral on Sunday mornings, and the occasional siren from the metro trains just beyond the street. If you’re a night owl, you might hear a few late‑night conversations—mostly people talking about the day’s events, which is oddly comforting.
I spent my evenings on the balcony, sipping Georgian wine from a bottle I bought at the local shop on Drevyan Street. The aroma of oak and a hint of black tea lingered in the air – a scent that’s almost a signature of the city. During the tourist season, the neighborhood can get crowded, but I found that early mornings were the best time to explore – the streets are quiet, and you can hear the birds perched on the sycamores outside your window
Hotels in Tbilisi offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Caucasian gem, with easy access to museums, thermal baths, and traditional restaurants.

Value for money. Good space for family. – Renante from Qatar – January 4, 2025 (10/10)
Big space for the family. Owner is helpful. Clean apartment and got everything you need. Walking distance to attractions.
What could be improved: The apartment is located on a hilly part of town. Walking up is a challenge.Best apartment in Chugureti – Samitha from Bahrain – April 7, 2024 (10/10)
It was very spacious and clean with enough space to put clothes and stuff of 6 people. Heaters were placed in the right places of the apartment to keep us warm from the chilly air outside.
The landlord and his family were very welcoming. Always available when in need. We appreciated their helpfulness in every suitation we faced . The area was safe and had a beautiful view from the 2nd room.
What could be improved: Nothing in particular. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay, hosts are super friendly and ready to help. – Irina from Georgia – October 11, 2023 (9/10)
Perfect location, 15 minutes on foot and you find yourself on Liberty square.
For families: keep in mind, the slope to the house is pretty steep, not sure it's sutable for baby strollers.
What could be improved: If bed linens were a bit better, I'd say it's 10,5 property!Exceptional – Deyan from Bulgaria – July 28, 2023 (10/10)
The host and his brother were very kind and helpful. Even I made a mistake with the reservation they solve the problem. We had a great time together

That's without exaggeration the best experience I had on book.com up to now. The apartment was just perfect and the hosts treat you like part of the family. There is a girl who speaks good English.
What could be improved: Nonegood stay – Regina from United Kingdom – September 14, 2022 (8/10)
Location is great, everything is clean
What could be improved: second room does not have windows or table lights, not that comfortableExceptional – Tanya from Bulgaria – September 9, 2023 (10/10)
Very clean place, very hospitable host, had all amenities you may need. One of the bedrooms has great view over the TV tower.
We got a bottle of wonderful home made wine from the host as a present which made us very happy. Excellent value for money.
What could be improved: One of the bedrooms had no window. The flat is on a steep and narrow lane. The first is not very convenient when you walk by foot, the latter is a bit challenging when you are coming by car. However, there is a place where you can park and the city center is close.Good – Reza from Iran – September 17, 2024 (7/10)
